orphanage
COGIC Orphanage Tumaini (Hope) is based on the biblical model of a God’s family. We were adopted by God through Christ. God Almighty is the father of the fatherless. God comforts, encourages, and upholds orphans because he loves them. Sponsor a child or give a one-time donation to help us care for and sustain the orphans in Congo 1st COGIC Orphanage Tumaini. We now have 53 orphans, 26 girls and 27 boys. Your gift of $18 a month will help us greatly! Your gift shows God’s love to vulnerable children.
livestock
Help reduce hunger and Poverty in Congo by purchasing livestock! Your contribution will help us provide meat and dairy which are excellent source of protein, vitamins and minerals. Your gift of a goat, cow or chicken will be a blessing for families in need. This will also help put families on the road to self-sufficiency!
GEMS
This ministry is designed to motivate ladies ages 12-25 as well as encourage and strengthen girls and young women through small group sessions, mentorship, fun activities, and training in a safe and nurturing environment.
Sewing Room
The sewing circle are in need of new sewing machines. Our sewing program will help young girls master their tailoring skills and earning future income generating opportunities. Your generous support of $125.00 will help us provide new sewing machines. This is one way to help with reduction of poverty and allow economic recovery and sustainable development.
Schools
Congo 1st Jurisdiction has 4 schools Lubumbashi, Kolwezi, Kanzenze, and Dilolo. This program focuses on rebuilding schools and equipping them with furniture, meals, blackboards, school supplies, uniforms and new learning materials. This program also helps strengthen teachers in psychosocial support and creates a comfortable environment for learning.
Library
The Life Library create opportunities for learning, support literacy and education, and help shape new ideas and perspectives. The life library program, children will learn new skills, crafts, and career development. We want to create a quiet space for learning and exploring. Your support will provide books, computers, and Wifi
Gardening
This program focuses on good, clean, healthy fresh food. This program can help end hunger and malnourishment. Gardening is one way to help families become self-sufficient. The goal is to become market gardeners. Fresh fruit and vegetables. Your support will help start gardening throughout Congo 1st jurisdiction.
