Bishop Hichika Ghalain

Mgr Muhangenu Hichika Ghilain was born in the District of Kolwezi in the Democratic Republic of Congo on December 31, 1966, he is one of the children of Mgr Hichika Mayuke and Mother Godelive Mayuke. he was instructed and guided by the way of the Lord at the feet of his father Mgr Mayuke who was the founder of cogic in Congo in 1975.

Mgr Ghilain accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 14, then being baptized with the Holy Spirit in 1985, he is a Visionary of his church Temple Victoire COGIC in Lubumbashi of which he is pastor and shepherd.

He was ordained as a pastor by missionary Emmanuel Lwaga in 1990, he was faithful to the charge given to him by the church council, he served as a youth evangelist and worked hard in this organizing ministry. conferences, biblical studies, evangelical seminars to bring a new awakening to cogic D.R.Congo. Bishop Ghilain helped many people during his ministry by bringing them to Christ to serve God and organizing the Church through his faithful service. the church grew to such an extent that he was appointed bishop of the first ecclesiastical jurisdiction of COGIC R.D.Congo by Bishop Charles E. Blake and serves under the leadership of Bishop Matthew Vincent, president of the missions department, consecrated by the presiding chief apostles, Bishop J. Drew Sheard. in 2021.

Bishop Ghilain supervises one hundred and fifteen local churches and manages two orphanages and 10 educational establishments in the Districts of the Jurisdiction.

He graduated in theology from the Protestant University 49 Eproba-Ceba in Lubumbashi.
He is married to sister Nelly tumba Hichika, father of 11 children.
